Companies and organizations keep a copy of printed matter on microfilm either to ensure a high degree of legal certainty or due to legal provisions. This often contains figurative marks or reference numbers, otherwise known as blips, so that documents – such as insurance contracts or pension documents – can be retrieved more easily. If documents do not need to be available permanently, complete digitization of the microfilm archive makes little sense from an economic standpoint. The new Zeutschel OM 7380 scanning system presents a cost-effective alternative. |
Powerful on-demand digitization
The user places the 16 mm roll film cassette into the machine and then simply enters the reference number. The relevant images are then automatically scanned and digitally displayed in a high quality.
The user can adjust image contrast and brightness during scanning, saving time and costly re-scans. The electronic zoom function can be used to quickly find key information in the document.
The OM 7380 offers a wide range of output options including output to network and local printers, USB connections for external storage media, saving to a network or sending via email.
The Zeutschel scan system easily integrates into the local network via the connected PC and hooks up to different database systems via the database connector option.
Compared to older retrieval systems, the OM 7380 offers low maintenance and requires no consumable parts.
