May 2015 - Scans to tablets or smartphones

Zeutschel presents zeta2mobile

"Many zeta users have said they would like to have data output on tablets and smartphones. After all, mobile devices are constant companions nowadays, while USB sticks are easily forgotten", says Horst Schmeissing, Zeutschel sales manager.

The zeta overhead scanner and mobile end device wirelessly connect via WiFi. To do this, either use the library's or company's own network or take advantage of the optional WiFi hotspot offered by Zeutschel.

Establishing communication between scanner and mobile end device is easy. Simply press the "connect" button on the zeta and the overhead scanner instantly generates a QR code, which can be detected by the tablet or smartphone.
Once the scan job has finished, the zeta operating software offers the user an additional "mobile" output option. This menu item allows the user to send the scanned images to the mobile device where they can then be saved and viewed.
The user-specific scan profiles can be saved as default settings for later scanning jobs, which creates additional user convenience.

The free app is available in the Google Play Store. A paid software upgrade is necessary for the 'zeta2mobile" output option on the scanner side.
